Gift Cards

Paid for today, spent later

Sell a gift card at the till in two taps. The balance lives in Apple and Google Wallet, the code prints on the receipt, and the guest can pass it to a friend from their own phone.

What you get

Everything needed to sell, redeem and account for gift cards — no separate provider, no per-card fee.

Sell at the tillTap the gift card product in your normal grid, enter any amount within the range you set, and it goes on the bill like anything else.
Lives in the walletApple and Google Wallet passes with the balance on the front. It updates itself when the card is spent — no app to install.
Give it to someoneThe guest shares the card from their own phone, by message or email. You never hold the recipient's contact details.
Spend part of itA €50 card can settle a €12 lunch and keep €38. Split a bill across a card and another tender when the card does not cover it.
Liability reportOutstanding balances, what was sold, what was spent — the figure your accountant needs at period end, exportable as CSV.
VAT handled per countryVAT falls due when the card is spent in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Iceland, and when it is sold in Estonia. The rule follows your country automatically.

Why it is worth selling them

A gift card is paid for before anything leaves the kitchen, and it brings someone new through the door.

→You hold the money before the meal is cooked
→Someone else's recommendation, with the spend already paid
→No per-card fee and no separate gift card provider
→Nothing to print or stock — the pass is digital
→Liability tracked as a liability, not as turnover
→Cards keep working when a till goes offline mid-service

How it works

1

Sell it

Tap the gift card product, enter the amount. The card is numbered the moment the sale registers, and the code prints on the receipt.

2

Add it to the wallet

The guest scans the QR on the receipt and the pass lands in Apple or Google Wallet, with the balance on it.

3

Spend it

Scan the pass at the till, or type the code. The balance comes down, the rest stays on the card, and the receipt shows what is left.

Included free

No commission on what you sell

Gift cards are part of the free core system. There is no per-card charge and no revenue share — a €100 card is €100 in your till.
